Shareholder benefits and discount from travel companies

Several companies active in the travel industry are listed on the stock market. Some of the companies offer additional discounts or benefits to their shareholders. Others prefer to work with a paid subscription service, such as IHG’s ambassador status program or Accor’s subscription options, where you can subscribe to a paid service and gain hotel status or other benefits. Below, I’ll focus on the shareholder benefits. The information is not financial advice.

If you’re Belgian and would like to use a cheap broker to buy stocks or other investment instruments, I recommend Saxobank, as they are one of the cheapest Belgian brokers. They are currently offering free transaction budget when registering under an invite link until end of 2024.

Discussion

It is up to every individual to consider the offers from the hotel or cruise companies to be worthwhile. It can pay off to buy shares for the benefits they offer. It is however important to consider the risk. Some companies might not be in good financial shape. If you like cruises and mainly use the same company, it can be very beneficial to consider one of the offers mentioned in this post.
